Leading Building Services Contractor HENSALL has recently completed the mechanical installation on Leeds’ Victoria Gate Casino – the North of England and Scotland’s largest casino.
The super casino was unveiled to the public in January, and operated by Global Gaming Ventures, is the third-largest casino in the UK.
Patrick Noakes, venue director, said: “Leeds has never seen an entertainment destination like this before. We can’t wait for people to step through the doors and see the spectacular space for themselves. “It’s a game-changer – not just for casino fans but for the city as a whole. Victoria Gate Casino will strengthen Leeds’ already diverse entertainment, dining and nightlife offering and will provide so much more than just gaming. Our three distinct venues – Live Bar, Curve and V Restaurant – will play a pivotal role in that. “Live Bar and Curve have attracted partnerships with Molson Coors and Moët & Chandon to provide a top quality drinks menu whilst V Restaurant will put the best regional produce at the heart of its offering.”
With such a mammoth project, it was inevitable that it would have its challenges, as HENSALL Mechanical MD Chris Bond commented,
“Situated in the heart of Leeds – a bustling city – we were faced with a very strict programme schedule to adhere to. As a multi-contractor site it was inevitable that components of our project would be held up by third parties, but we managed to overcome all obstacles to deliver what is a stunning example of HENSALL’s mechanical capabilities.”
As £1.6M+ project, HENSALL were instructed to project manage the site, providing BIM working drawings and a vast range of mechanical installation services.
